Things to Do in Winter at Taos Ski Valley Resort

Ski & Snowboard New Mexico

Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico, renowned for its expert skiing terrain, also includes a tremendous number of beginner and intermediate runs. Off the ski slopes, enjoy a guided snowshoe hike, snowmobile the high country above Taos, or kick back in a hot tub under the stars. The whole family can enjoy the new Eis Haus conveniently located in the Lower Plaza. Skaters of all abilities and ages will enjoy ice skating in the afternoons and evenings all season long! Large built-in fireplaces with seating adjacent to the ice offer a terrific place for family and friends to watch and socialize after a day on the mountain. Kids can have a blast participating in Children's Snowsports programs for young skiers and snowboarders. Reservations are required.

Snow Tubing is no longer available, but bring your own sled and take a run on the hill next to the Edelweiss Lodge and Spa and Gondolita. Other activities include ski & snowboard lessons at the Rio Hondo Learning Center, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or snowmobiling adventures.
