Scenic Lift Rides

Open Daily 9am-4:30, weather permitting
Closing September 17th (end of day).

Relax and enjoy the beautiful Taos Ski Valley scenery from Lift 1, located at the resort base area. Once at the top, enjoy views of Wheeler Peak and surrounding mountains. Hike down or ride the lift back down, bring a layer and enjoy the ride.

There are several picnic tables at the top of the lift, offering a great spot to bring your sack lunch. The Whistlestop Café will be open. This is the perfect opportunity to view the mountain in its splendor, take photos and enjoy the wildlife that inhabit the area.

Tickets can be purchased at the Lake Fork Ticket Office in the Resort Base Area. Advance reservations not required. Tickets are good for the entire day.

Taos Bike Park

CLOSED FOR THE 2023 SUMMER SEASON. Due to construction on Lift 4, lift-served mountain biking will not be available at TAOS this summer. However, there are plenty of options for a thrilling and challenging day of uphill access mountain biking.

For uphill mountain biking, we recommend enlisting the help of one of our trusty e-bikes. Plus, if you’re looking for a more relaxing day at the ski valley, e-bikes are a perfect way to explore. Start at Taos Sports and bike up the Rubezahl Trail to The Bavarian to enjoy a beverage and a bratwurst! Mountain bikes and e-bikes are available to rent at Taos Sports all summer! For more uphill information and maps.

The Taos Bike Park has a variety of exciting downhill mountain bike tracks served by Lift 4. Enjoy this exciting bike ride experience in the amazing scenery of the mountains with the whole family. Whether you’re a novice biker or an experienced rider, Taos offers an experience for all levels – all you have to do is choose your spice level. Built by Gravity Logic, out of Whistler, BC, with the help of the Taos Bike Park Crew.

Via Ferrata

The Iron Path

The Taos Ski Valley Via Ferrata, situated at 11,500 feet in the sub-alpine ecosystem of Kachina Peak, features beginner through advanced Via Ferrata route challenges, a 100-foot skybridge, and a double-cable catwalk. Novice climbers can experience the thrill of cabled mountain travel under the supervision of a guide, and progress to vertical terrain with spectacular views of the Rio Hondo and Wheeler Peak Wilderness.

Reservations & Hours

To reserve your spot, please call 888-364-0467 or purchase tickets online. Open until the end of September. All guests must reserve a spot at least an hour in advance and complete a waiver prior to getting on the route.
