FLY to Taos (SKX)

Taos Air - Summer Service 2021
To get to Taos via aircraft, fly Taos Air - The Fastest, Easiest Route to the Rockies! Experience an executive flying experience with easy parking, ease of security, and best of all, no commercial airport crowds! Summer service will be available two days each week between July 1, 2021 - September 27, 2021. 2021/22 (Winter service dates to be announced.)

Taos Air flys non-stop jet service between Taos, NM and the following locations in Texas and California:

  • Dallas (DAL)
  • Austin, Texas (AUS)
  • Hawthorne-Los Angeles (HHR)
  • Carlsbad-San Diego (CLD)
Shuttle to/from Taos Regional Airport: The Town of Taos has partnered with our Regional Transit District to provide the NCRTD 370 Chile Ride Service every Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday between July 1 - September 27, 2021. All vehicles are wheelchair accessible. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance. Call 866-206-0754, select Option 2

The North Central Regional Transportation District (NCRTD) signature "RTD Blue Buses", provide fare-free service from many locations in Taos, El Prado and Arroyo Seco. Pack up your vehicle and come on up! 

Directions from Taos to Taos Ski Valley:
Travel north on US 64/Paseo Del Pueblo Norte until you reach the stoplight intersection of US 64/NM 522/NM 150. Turn right onto NM 150. Passing through the tiny town of Arroyo Seco, stay on NM 150, which takes you to the ski area parking lots.

From Santa Fe: Take The High Road!
Have a little extra time on your hands and yearning for majestic scenery? Take the High Road to Taos. This scenic byway winds through high desert, mountains, forests, small farms and tiny Hispanic villages established in the 1600s and 1700s. The lovely scenery has inspired many artists to set up gallery spaces. Stop along the way to enjoy historic churches, pottery and weaving studios. Access the route from the south on US 285/84 at Pojoaque. Turn right (east) onto NM 503 past Nambe and through Chimayo. At intersection of NM 76 turn right and pass through Truchas and Las Trampas to intersection NM 75. Turn right and pass through Penasco and Vadito to NM 518. Turn left (north) and proceed to Los Ranchos de Taos. At intersection NM 68, turn right into Taos.

Electric Vehicle Charging
Taos Ski Valley Resort has provided free electric vehicle charging at 116 Sutton Place, Taos Ski Valley, 87525. There are 6 stations with J-1772 plugs. (We've read reported gains of 6 - 10 miles in regenerative power from coming back down!)

RV Parking
Enjoy your home-on-wheels with Taos Ski Valley as your basecamp! Free RV parking is available in the Gila Monster Lot at Taos Ski Valley Parking Area for up to seven days. Generator use is allowed but there are no hook-ups available.

 

TRAIN - Rail Runner Express

The Rail Runner, New Mexico's commuter rail, serves Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Bus shuttles are available from the Santa Fe Railyard District Station to the Town of Taos running Thursday through Sunday. Information on the Rail Runner Express can be found here.
