Taos Freeride Championships

Taos Ski Valley will once again host a 2-Star and 4-Star Freeride World Qualifying event in conjunction with the International Freeskiers and Snowboarders Association and the Freeride World Tour. Taos Ski Valley will also host a 2-day Master Division on February 28 and March 1.

The 4-Star Taos Freeride Championships will be held in Taos Ski Valley on March 1, 2019 (weather day, March 2, 2019). This premiere big-mountain event is New Mexico's largest and most prestigious ski and snowboard competition. Athletes from around the globe descend on Taos Ski Valley to test themselves against the resort's famed steeps, chasing the top podium spot and trying to get one step closer to making the Freeride World Tour.

2* and 4* registration will open soon. You do need a FWQ/IFSA membership to register and compete in the 2* and 4* competitions.

Master division competitors do not need a FWQ/IFSA membership to compete.

Master's Registration is NOW OPEN! CLICK HERE TO REGISTER. Space is limited and is on a first come first serve basis. Registration is open until February 13, 2019 at 11:45pm MST.

Schedule:
Wednesday, February 27th: Venue Inspection Day (venue open to public)
5pm: Mandatory 2*, 4* and Master athlete check-in & meeting (Martini Tree Bar)

Thursday, February 28th: 2* Competition and Day 1 Masters Competition
Après-Ski: 2* Awards in the Martini Tree Bar

Friday, March 1st: 4* Competition and Day 2 Master Competition
Après-Ski: Awards party in the Martini Tree Bar

Saturday, March 2nd: Weather day

There will be terrain closures to the public during competition days.
