Ski&Ride Lessons
You don’t have to be an expert to ski Taos, but there’s no better place to become one.

Personalized instruction to match your level and improve your skiing. One to four people. One Hour, Two Hours, Half Day or Full day. Discounted privates from 1pm.
GROUP LESSONS
Skiers of all levels are welcome. The 2-hour lessons are available every morning (9:45 AM) and afternoon (1:15 PM).
YELLOWBIRD BEGINNER’S PROGRAM
(13 years and older)
Our special slope and lift are designed to help anyone learn to ski. This package includes 4 1/2 hours of lessons, rentals (skis, boots & poles) and beginner lift ticket. Lessons begin at 9:45 AM with a break for lunch. The lessons end between
3:00 PM and 3:30 PM.
GREENBIRD PACKAGE
For those who have progressed past the Yellowbird program and are looking to build confidence skiing Whitefeather and beyond. This package includes lesson, full area lift ticket and ski rentals.
This lesson package includes six 2 1/2-hour lessons (1:00 - 3:30 PM). Classes meet on Strawberry Hill at 12:45 PM. Our Locals Clinics are designed for participants at all levels.S
Ski&Snowboard Weeks
After six days under the tutelage of our top instructors and practicing your new moves on our varied terrain, you’ll head home a much better skier. Every morning you’ll join your group and your instructor for two hours of training on the slopes. The rest of the day, you can practice what you’ve learned. Each night you can share a great meal with your new friends, swap stories, and make plans to meet again. Ski Weeks are Sunday through Friday.

Children’s Center
Skiing has always been a family affair at Taos Ski Valley, so we make it easy to introduce your children to skiing and provide a fun adventure for skiers of all abilities. We’ve developed a series of unique children’s programs led by specially-trained instructors. Housed in a state-of-the-art facility, kids will be comfortable using as a “home base” during the day ensuring that you will have a great time, too. Children even have their own ski area, pint-sized lifts, special terrain, and equipment shop. What parent could want more?

6 weeks to 1 year old
1 to 3 years old
Snowplay, creative indoor activities, and yummy snacks make for a full and fun day for one to three years old. The all-day program includes two snacks and lunch.
3 years old and up
This one-hour ski lesson is for three-year olds enrolled in Kinderkare. The program is designed for children who are not ready for an all day ski experience. It provides a shorter ski time to test the readiness of a child for a more comprehensive ski experience. Lessons are provided by specially trained instructors. Rental equipment is included. The class size is limited to 3 students.
Our Junior Elite programs are all inclusive. Your fee covers lift tickets, rental package (skis, boots, poles, and helmets), a morning lesson, an afternoon lesson, and lunch. For the all day program the last lesson is over at 2:30 PM, you are more than welcome to pick up your child and ski the remainder of the day with them or leave them in supervised care until 4:00 PM. We ask that you have your children checked in between 8:15 AM - 9:00 AM.

3 years old & potty trained to first grade
A passion for skiing starts here! Kids three years old through first grade learn the basics of the sport in small classes during this all-day program. They’ll also enjoy fun indoor and outdoor activities while they make new friends.
Second grade to 5 years old
Our friendly snow coaches teach a love of the sport and the mountains to older kids of all skiing abilities. Not only will your kids be better skiers, they’ll build their confidence and have a great time, too.
