John Dunn arrived in Taos in 1887. He was looking for a place to hide while evading some very serious charges in Texas.
Any town with a long and colorful history such as Taos is bound to have a few people who simply refuse to leave, even after they have passed into the afterlife.
Taos Pueblo
Taos Pueblo is the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Historic Landmark.
