Experience thrilling rides on our tubing hill! Tubing is a winter activity the whole family can enjoy. Dress in warm layers and head over to Strawberry Hill for unlimited tubing fun. We provide the tubes, and you provide the laughs.

For just $15 you can rent your tube and have unlimited rides on a well-lit tubing terrain. Tubes are rented at the base of Strawberry Hill which is the beginners ski area behind Edelweiss Lodge and Spa.

2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday - Schedule enhanced during peak periods and Holidays

Sledding Adventures

In Taos Ski Valley you cannot sled on the ski area but there are many public areas where you take sleds for some free family fun. The twining campground area is a small sloped area perfect for little ones. The twining area is located opposite Alpine Village Suites in Taos Ski Valley. Carson National Forest also has many great hiking trails that you can take your sleds to. Please visit this page HERE to see local hiking trails in Taos Ski Valley.

Just a short drive away you will find US Hill which is the best free sledding in the county.

 Taos Start and end at the Taos Wal-Mart on the south side of town.
Ride south out of Taos on NM68 all the way to Embudo.

 Ranchos de Taos Ride straight through (south) on NM68 at Ranchos de Taos and NM518, the intersection with the return route. Several desents to Pilar.

 Pilar, NM570 Continue straight (south) on NM68 to Embudo. The BLM visitor's center.

 NM75, Embudo Turn left (east) at Embudo and ride on NM75 along the Rio Embudo to Dixon (26.8) and on to Penasco.
Continue straight on NM75 at the NM76 intersection. There is a food store in Penasco and a small store in Dixon.

 Dixon Continue straight on NM75 to Penasco. Climb out of Dixon and then down into the Picuris Pueblo.

 Penasco Stay on NM75 as it turns left and climbs to Rock Wall to Vadito. There may be a convenience store at Vadito.

 Vadito Continue on NM75 uphill to Rock Wall.

 NM75/NM518 Rock Wall Turn left (north) and climb steeply from Rock Wall to the summit of U.S. Hill.
